Off Leash K9 Training Cedar Rapids, Iowa City & Davenport has expanded! Diana Hauser and Alisa Woodruff are the owners and head trainers for Off Leash K9 Cedar Rapids, Iowa City & Davenport Areas . Our style of training encompasses the core beliefs and philosophy of consistency, fairness, and crystal clear communication that will turn your dog into a well behaved member of society in any situation.

raleigh dog trainersDiana Hauser is a graduate of North Carolina State University with dual degrees in Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering. She has always loved dogs and started working with rescued German Shepherds in 2005. In 2010 she co-founded Southeast German Shepherd Rescue. She still remains on the board and has personally worked with hundreds of rescue dogs ranging from fearful to insecure to reactive.


durham Dog TrainersAlisa Woodruff is a graduate of Arizona State University with a degree in Business Management and a minor in Communications. Most of her professional background revolves around marketing. Alisa has always loved dogs and started working with rescued German Shepherds in 2006. In 2010, she helped co-found Southeast German Shepherd Rescue and remains on the board of the organization. Over the years she has worked with behavioral and medical cases of all types from high energy dogs to reactive dogs, to fearful dogs.


Sonja Pearson-Moyers grew up on a horse farm, riding and training horses. After meeting and mentoring under master dog trainer Peggy Davis, Sonja started to become very interested in dog behavior and psychology. While volunteering at local shelters she got her degree in Animal Care and Management with a certificate in Animal Handling. After teaching riding  lessons and training horses for years she has decided to make the switch, full time to dogs. She has always had a passion for rehabilitation in dogs, and seeing what can be done to make the human dog relationship positive.


Kathryn Nilsson is a graduate of North Carolina State University with dual degrees in Animal Science and Zoology and a minor in Spanish. Although Kathryn did not grow up with dogs, she always enjoyed working and interacting with them. She fostered 24 Pit Bulls for the Wake County Animal Oenter over the course of 2 years, and continues to volunteer at the shelter in her free time. Kathryn has enjoyed incorporating dog psychology and obedience sine working at Off Leash and So Fetch.

Taylor Pulice-Loomis is a graduate of Penn State’s Animal Sciences program. Throughout college, Taylor focused her education on companion animal behavior and spent countless hours at local animal shelters facilitating adoptions.  After graduation, she moved to Texas to train rescued animals for shows highlighting the plight of rescued animals.  Her background is in creating and training obedience and tricks to animals performing at theme parks and zoos across the country.



Hannah Clark studied at William Peace University focusing in biological anthropology always knowing that working with animals was the goal. Hannah had a pet sitting and dog waking business where she gained her ability to read animal behavior and understand pack mentality along side her volunteering experience with local rescues. Shortly after her business took off she was able to study under Cesar Millan at the Dog Psychology center in California. With this new skill set, she developed a dog adventure business concentrating on providing mental stimulation, structured play, and building dogs social skill sets.


Ashley Buckans is a graduate from Animal Behavior college. She started raising Guide Dogs for the Blind for her FFA project throughout High School. From there, she began working at a veterinary hospital/animal shelter, as a kennel assistant, her senior year of high school. She continued to work at veterinary hospitals for two years before deciding to start training again. She worked at a dog boarding facility learning dog behavior and body language. They eventually took her on as an assistant trainer. Ashley has been working for Off Leash K9 Training since March 2016.


Ann Quigley is a graduate of Elon University with a degree in Biochemistry.  Having grown up with a passion for animal behavior, Ann began her training career working with horses and quickly progressed to sport and competition dog training.  She finds nothing more enjoyable than aiding the growth of a healthier relationship between pet and owner.  Ann is a firm believer that the majority of behavioral issues in our animal companions stem from a lack of understanding and breakdown in communication.  Her personal interests lie in the development and maintenance of sport dogs that are willing partners in precision obedience, Schutzhund, and a variety of other dog sports.


Emily was raised in central Ohio with a passion for animals. Emily graduated cum laude from The Ohio State University in 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. This gave her an abundance of experience and knowledge in a variety of species and subjects, from dogs to horses and from nutrition to behavior modification. Emily developed a love for dog training in college after adopting an adult pit bull terrier, Pinky, who lacked basic obedience. Experiencing the transformation of an non-walkable dog to a happy and obedient off-leash dog is a freedom that everyone should enjoy! Currently, Emily lives on a small farm with her husband, their two horses, and their pittie, Pinky.


Tara Sturey was born and raised on a small farm in Pennsylvania where she showed cows and pigs throughout 4-H. Tara won Grand Champion with her steer in 2007 and Reserve Grand Champion in 2008. She raised a Future Leader Dog for the Blind, Franklin, as a senior project in High School. Tara graduated with honors from Thiel College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a minor in Sociology.  After college, she started training dogs eventually moving to Georgia K9, NTC where she trained dogs for Law Enforcement and Search and Rescue for three years before moving to North Carolina. She now works for Off Leash K9 Wilmington and Raleigh.
